SYMPOWER CORPORATION – Receives expression of interest in its technologies

SymPowerco Corporation (Pink Sheets: SYMW) is trading up 7.14% following the Company’s July 16, 2008 announcement that the emerging developer of advanced fuel cell and power delivery systems has received an expression of interest in its unique Flowing Electrolyte Direct Methanol Fuel Cell technologies for use in motorbike applications in the Far East.

The motorbike is the primary means of personal transportation in many Far Eastern countries. For instance, there are more than 13,000,000 gasoline-powered motorbikes in Taiwan. To counter the pollution these motorbikes cause, the government has implemented incentive programs to help consumers switch to electric motorbikes powered by rechargeable batteries. RASER TECHNOLOGIES – acquires new geothermal leases

Raser Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Arca: RZ) is trading up 1.27% following the Company’s announcement that it recently signed eight additional leases totaling nearly 6,000 acres in Utah and 1,200 acres in Nevada with private land owners. The recent signing of additional leases in Southern Utah expanded the holdings for the Thermo project near Beaver, Utah, to nearly 30,000 acres. FIRST SOLAR, INC – gets contract from Southern California Edison to build roof top solar power plant.

First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSLR) is trading up 4.36% following the Company’s July 16, 2008 announcement that Southern California Edison (SCE) has selected First Solar to engineer and supply the photovoltaic power plant system for a 2 megawatt project to be installed on the roof of a commercial building in Fontana, CA. This is the first installation in SCE’s plan to install 250 megawatts of solar generating capacity on large commercial rooftops throughout Southern California over the next five years. SCE began installation of this initial project on July 14, 2008, and expects to connect the PV power plant to the grid in September 2008. In March, SCE, with California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, announced the five-year solar PV installation project, which is the largest rooftop solar program ever proposed by a U.S. utility. TRINA SOLAR – to offer $120 million in senior convertible notes

Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL) is trading up 8.27% following the Company’s announcement that the leading integrated manufacturer of photovoltaic products from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of PV modules intends to offer, subject to market and other conditions, $120 million aggregate principal amount of senior convertible notes due 2013 and American depositary shares (“ADSs”), which are being borrowed by the joint book runners of the notes offering or their affiliates (“ADS Borrowers”) pursuant to ADS lending agreements with Trina Solar. Trina Solar intends to grant to the underwriters of the notes offering an option to purchase up to an additional $18 million aggregate principal amount of notes to cover over-allotments. CYCLONE POWER TECHNOLOGIES – Announces successful solid fuel test in revolutionary engine

Cyclone Power Technologies (Pink Sheets: CYPW) is trading up 2.86% following the Company’s July 16, 2008 announced that it has successfully completed combustion tests of coal powder through the fuel injector of the company’s award-winning Cyclone Engine.
