The 12-megawatt system is being installed on GM’s assembly plant in Figueruelas, Zaragoza, Spain and will become operational in the fall of 2008. Hydrogenics Corporation (NasdaqGM: HYGS ) is trading down 11% on heavy volume following the leading designer and manufacturer of hydrogen electrolyzers and fuel cell systems announcement that it has been awarded a contract by Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) to supply 20 Fuel Cell Power Packs for integration into Crown lift trucks to be deployed at DDWG. CTC, a technology solution provider to the Department of Defense (DoD), will replace lead acid batteries currently used in Crown Class 1 lift trucks with the Hydrogenics hydrogen powered Fuel Cell Power Packs. MASS MEGAWATTS WIND POWER, INC (OTCBB: MMGW)
Mass Megawatts Wind Power, Inc. (OTCBB: MMGW ) is trading up 24% on heavier than usual volume following the company’s July 8, 2008 announcement that that the company has recently opened a manufacturing facility in Lycoming County located in north central Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Governor doubled the state government’s original green power purchase commitment from 5% to 10%. The commitment was doubled again, to 20%, in August 2006. In October 2007, the contract was modified with an additional purchase that brought the total green power purchase to 28% of the state government’s annual electricity consumption. WORLDWATER & SOLAR TECHNOLOGIES CORP (OTCBB: WWAT)
WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. (OTC BB: WWAT) is trading up 5% on light volume following the company’s July 8, 2008 announcement that the developer and marketer of proprietary high-power solar systems has concluded all engineering, planning, regulatory, environmental and contractual negotiations with regard to the 1.2 MW project first announced last August for the Valley Center Municipal Water District (VCMWD) of Valley Center, California. Ground-breaking is expected occur in the coming weeks. The system will provide electricity for the district and is being developed by Solar Power Partners of Mill Valley, California, which will operate it under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
